IBC BankIBC was founded in 1966 to meet the needs of small businesses in Laredo, Texas. Today, it serves as the flagship bank of International Bancshares Corporation. Since its opening, IBC has grown from less than $1 million in assets to more than $11.8 billion, making it one of Texas’ largest holding companies. IBC now serves 88 communities throughout Texas and Oklahoma with 216 branches and more than 320 ATMs and provides full service banking seven days a week. Furthermore, customers can bank during late hours that are convenient for them and can even bank while they shop at many HEBs, Wal-Marts, Krogers, Randalls, and inside local Malls.
In 2010, Hispanic Business Magazine ranked IBC as the number one Hispanic-owned financial institution in the nation. The bank was also the number one Hispanic-owned business in Texas and fourth nationally. Additionally, Forbes Magazine ranked IBC in 10th place on their America’s Best Bank’s list.
